Collaboration with Finnish flexible workspace platform Spacent gives RELEX employees hundreds of choices for their most optimal workspace for the day.

 

Finnish market-leading, unified supply chain and retail planning platform RELEX Solutions has started collaboration with a flexible workspace platform Spacent. Thanks to the collaboration, the employees now have a freedom to choose the best place to work, according to their needs. Spacent offers RELEX employees 150 offices in 50 cities.

 

RELEX has put a lot of effort in assuring that their employees have a chance to work remotely in the best way that fits them. Employees can order furniture to their home easily from a partner and the company processes have been built to support freedom of choice, when it comes to choosing your workspace. After COVID the trend has been to limit the location or ways of remote work to some extent, but RELEX decided differently.

 

RELEX wanted to give more options in addition to working from home. A questionnaire made by RELEX revealed to main reasons to leave your home office: desire to meet other people or do deep focus work.

“People have very different preferences on their own workspace and the needs can change daily. Others concentrate best at home and others feed their creativity by going to a new space. Some feel that RELEX office is the best place to work. It’s not important to us, where you do your work. What is important though, is that our employees enjoy their workspace and feel good“, Tiia Rapeli, the HR director of RELEX explains.

 

The amount of Spacent users has grown steadily after the COVID restrictions were lifted. Right now over a third of RELEX employees has taken the flexible spaces into use. RELEX employees have spent over 1500 days in the Spacent network.

With Spacent, RELEX employees can easily choose and book their workspace for the day and invite their colleagues to join to work together. Spacent provides data for the employer organization about the utilization and needs, to support the planning of the future workplace. For example for RELEX, the use of flexible workspaces reduces the employees’ needs for commuting with approximately 3 million kilometers a year.

 

The use of flexible spaces has been a significant part of RELEX’s growth in 2022. During 2022, RELEX has hired over 600 new employees and the amount of global hires is expected to grow to 700 by the end of the year. Overall there are over 1700 RELEXians all over the world. The company has been valued for over 5 billion euros – and while they continue to grow, they want to ensure the wellbeing of their people.
